The History of ZAM:
The development of higher corrosion resistant coating plates has always been the goal of galvanizing workers. The study of adding Al, Mg, Ni, Cr and other alloy coatings has been carried out.

The application of magnesium in hot dip plating can be traced back to the 1960s. The main purpose is to further improve the corrosion resistance of coated steel sheets. Inland Steel Company of the United States first developed Zinc-Aluminium-Magnesium ternary alloy coatings and applied for American patents. The commercialization of zinc, aluminium and magnesium coatings began in Japan in the 1990s. After entering the 21st century, major steelmakers in Europe, Korea, Japan and Australia have launched their own Zinc-Aluminium-Magnesium coatings. The composition and product characteristics of the coatings are differentiated and subdivided, and their applications are also extended to automobiles from construction, light industrial appliances and other fields.

1) Zn-Al-Mg coating has better corrosion resistance, and the increase of Al and Mg content in a certain range makes the     corrosion resistance of Zn-Al-Mg coated steel sheet increase several times times higher than that of galvanized steel sheet.

2)The Zn-Al-Mg coating has good welding performance, and the addition of magnesium can reduce the spatter of the weld attachment in the laser welding process and improve the welding performance.

5)Zn-Al-Mg products have higher surface hardness. The initial dynamic friction coefficient of Zn-Al-Mg products is same as that of Zn products, but changes little with the increase of friction times. It is favorable for deformation.

6)ZAM coatings provide the smallest and finest abrasive particles, significantly reducing customer downtime for cleaning, tool wear, and reducing dent defects in parts.

7) Zinc-aluminium-magnesium coated steel sheet has the same coating property as pure zinc. It can be used for electrophoresis, post-spraying and color coating raw materials.

8) Because of its excellent corrosion resistance under the film, the corrosion resistance of the coated products can be significantly improved.

9)Corrosion resistance test after color coating showed that the corrosion resistance of the color coated plate with ZAM as the substrate is significantly better than that of the hot-dip galvanized steel plate, thereby delaying the red rust time of the color coated plate and prolonging it. Especially to the ocean and the severe industrial atmosphere.
